It has adopted global standards to offer business-relevant, first-choice qualifications and build strong professional capacity for people seeking a rewarding career in Accountancy, Finance and Management across Business and Corporate sectors.

The ACCA is a founding member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC). It has a partnership with Oxford Brookes University (OBU), offering a BSc (Hons.) in ‘Applied Accounting’ which requires completion of Part 2 of the ACCA qualifications for enrolment and an MBA at University of London with credits from the ACCA qualifications. EU nationals can also benefit from these qualifications as a Public Accountant or Statutory Auditor. In the UK and Ireland, ACCA has statutory monitoring responsibilities in various areas and has launched a range of further qualifications through the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) scheme. 

ACCA Courses Offering by PCD

PCD’s School of Business and Management is offering part-time, intensive, or standard tuition for students sitting the next ACCA examinations while gaining diploma for the following ACCA courses individually with progression opportunities to ACCA Qualifications and Degrees:

 

ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 2 equivalent to GSCE and Irish NFQ Level 4)

This ACCA diploma is awarded on the completion of exams (For course details: Click here)

This diploma is appropriate for those aiming to work or already working in: (i) a junior accounts clerk/junior bookkeeper role in an SME, (ii) a range of junior accounting administration roles within an accounting department of a larger organisation or financial shared service centres.

ACCA Diploma in Financial and Management Accounting (RQF Level 3 equivalent to ‘A’ and Irish NFQ Level 5)

This ACCA Diploma is awarded on the completion of the following exams (For course details: Click here)

  • Maintaining Financial Records (FA2)                  
  • Managing Costs and Finance (MA2)                  
  • Foundations in Professionalism (online module, not applicable if already taken before).

This diploma is appropriate for those aiming to work or already working in: (i) Accounting administration roles in SME or large enterprises in private practice, the corporate or public sectors, (ii) Various roles in financial or cost and management accounting within an accounting department of a larger organisation or in financial shared services or Global Business Services (GBS) centres. 

ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business  (RQF Level 4 equivalent to HND/1st year of a degree and Irish NFQ Level 6)

  • Business and Technology (FBT)                          
  • Financial Accounting (FFA)                                    
  • Management Accounting (FMA)                        
  • Foundations in Professionalism (online module, not applicable if already taken before).

This diploma is appropriate for those aiming to work or already working in the following types of roles: (i) Basic bookkeeping, (ii) Trainee accountant in a commercial organisation or accounting practice, (iii) Accounts clerk in public sector.

Student may take diploma course(s) either individually or all plus 2 or 3 foundation courses below to be a Cirtified Accounting Technician (CAT) or progress to ACCA Qualifications and degree Programmes.

A. To be a Certified Accounting Technician (CAT)

ACCA has retained the CAT Qualification as part of the foundation level qualifications. In order to obtain the Qualification, students will need to complete the following:

  • FA1, MA1, FA2, MA2, FBT, FFA and FMA exams.
  • Two of the three specialist exams:
  1. Foundations in Audit (FAU)                                               (More info)
  2. Foundations in Financial Management (FFM)               (More info)
  3. Foundations in Taxation (FTX)                                          (More info)
  • and practical experience for 12 months and Foundations in Professionalism (online module, not applicable if already taken before during the completion of any ACCA diploma).

Students completing the CAT Qualification can claim exemption from exams FA1, MA1, FA2 and MA2 based on practical experience.

B. To have ACCA Qualifications(Chartered Certified Accountant with opportunities to have graduate/post-graduate degree)

 

Either on completion of the Diplomas (SQF levels 2-4) or CAT Qualification, students may then progress onto the ACCA Qualification by starting at the Applied Skills exams and/or simultaneously/directly enrol in Oxford Brookes University for undergraduate study.

The four essentials competences and one year’s work experience gained to achieve the CAT Qualification towards the three years’ work experience and 9 performance objectives required for the ACCA Qualification will be credited. The credits of ACCA Qualification will be counted to complete Masters programme at University of London.

Entry requirements for tuition with PCD

PCD is currently offering Foundation level qualifications for progression to ACCA Qualifications. The Foundation courses are perfect for students who are new to Accountancy or who are working in Finance with no existing qualifications. Exemptions: Students with relevant qualifications from a recognised institution may be eligible to claim exemption from papers within ‘Foundations in Accountancy’. Students who choose to do the ‘Introductory Certificate’ qualification may be eligible to claim exemptions from some or all of the papers within the introductory ‘Certificate in Financial and Management Accounting’, based on relevant practical experience.
